About half of the food we need comes from our permanent collection points in locations like supermarkets, council offices and churches (see a list of donation points below). The remainder we collect at Harvest Festival and at our regular special collections at the supermarkets.
Your generosity means that families, adults and children, who can't afford to feed themselves do not go hungry.
A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us, we really do appreciate it, and so do the people you help.
Over 90% of the food distributed by Foodbanks in The Trussell network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.
What to donate
All food donated should be in-date, unopened and the sort of food that can be kept in a cupboard without refrigeration, e.g. tins and packets (and not chilled or frozen).
We welcome donations of baby food, in jars, pouches, rusks etc. However, we do not give out infant formula milk and powder (stage 1 and 2). This follows national guidance, where parents' choices should be supported by relevant services with expertise in infant feeding, in line with the Baby Friendly Initiative Standard.
Ways to donate
You can donate food to Wokingham Foodbank in any of the following ways:
Donate at a collection point in supermarkets across Wokingham when you shop.
Drop off donations at community locations, including some churches, pubs and businesses.
Arrange your own online delivery direct to the warehouse (email info@wokingham.foodbank.org.uk to arrange delivery times).
Supermarkets
If you are happy to drop off food donations, you can donate whenever you shop in these stores. Look our for the donation point after the checkouts.
Donation collection points

Most Wokingham Churches also have collection points.
Our volunteer drivers regularly collect all the donations from these collection points and take them to our Frederick House warehouse. You can also take your donations directly to Frederick House (click here to see the location and opening times).
We welcome offers from local businesses to provide additional collection points, and we can help with signage. However, we are unable to collect from these places so ask the relevant businesses to arrange for donations to be taken to Frederick House (click here to see the location and opening times)
We always welcome money donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages.
Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
